Everyone has a worn-out pair of jeans. Craft up some magic with very little money to create a trendy necklace that will catch the admiring eye of jewelry lovers everywhere.
Instructions
STEP 1:
Cut a heart from an old pair of jeans.
STEP 2:
Use an eyelet setter and secure the eyelets to the top of the denim heart.
STEP 3:
Iron on patch according to the directions on the packaging. If it is a patch off a piece of clothing from a Thrift Store, than sew it to the heart.
STEP 4:
Embellish the heart with pearls from an old necklace and embroidery thread.
STEP 5:
Add a title to the necklace with embroidery thread. You can pencil the title on and then sew onto the pencil lines.
STEP 6:
Measure the length you would like your chain for the necklace. Make sure you can lift it on and off without much trouble.
STEP 7:
Connect your chains together. Use additional jump rings if necessary. Place jump rings to attach the chain to the eyelets.
STEP 8:
Add a beaded section to the chain by wire wrapping the large blue bead and 2 small pearl beads. Attach them to the chain by opening the chain on the right side of the necklace.
STEP 9:
Wire wrap the earring and button to the chain.
STEP 10:
Wear with a smile on your face. You created a beautiful, trendy necklace.
