Take a simple T-shirt and turn it into something special by using flat back Hotfix crystals. Create a fun and easy flower pattern or use a self-designed motif to decorate your item. Add your name to personalize it for you especially or make if for someone special – you decide.
Instructions
STEP 1:
Begin this project by creating the flowers and then customize it with the name or print create design motifs. Tweezers are very useful when laying out the Hotfix crystals on fabric.
STEP 2:
Create Flower Pattern (Joy): Place eight 3mm Peridot and seven 3mm Jonquil Hotfix crystals on the fabric, spacing them evenly. Alternate the colors; beginning with the Peridot. Create the flowers around the 3mm Jonquil Hotfix crystals.
STEP 3:
Place five 5mm Aquamarine Hotfix crystals around the first 3mm Jonquil Hotfix crystal. Place five 5mm Light Rose Hotfix crystals around the second 3mm Jonquil Hotfix crystal. Repeat until you have four Aquamarine flowers and three Light Rose flowers.
STEP 4:
Use the Hotfix tool to adhere the crystals to the fabric.
STEP 5:
To Create a Design Motif (Emily): Hand sketch or print out a design motif. If the fabric item is a light color, place the paper between the fabric layers facing up. Lay your Hotfix crystals on top following the design pattern.
STEP 6:
Use the Hotfix tool to adhere the crystals to the fabric.
STEP 7:
To Customize with a Name: Print out the alphabet. Cut out the letters you want to use. Tape the letters to another piece of paper, spacing them evenly. Place the lettered piece of paper under the layer of light-colored *fabric. Lay your Hotfix crystal on top of the letters.
STEP 8:
Use the Hotfix tool to adhere the crystals to the fabric.
