A Spotted Canary Project by brushnbecky

25 March 2009

It’s easy to create quick party favors with small pieces of patterned papers, a few stickers and decorative staples. Your guests will be impressed – they will never guess that you only spent minutes creating these special favors!

Instructions

STEP 1:

Cut a piece of patterned paper to the width of your bag and long enough for it to overlap both sides.

STEP 2:

Use the a paper trimmer with scallop shuttle blade to add a decorative touch to one long end of your patterned paper. Change to the scoring blade and score in the middle of this piece (lengthwise).

STEP 3:

Use decorative staple bar to close bag.

STEP 4:

Cut a small strip of patterned paper and pinch in the middle to form an inverted “v” shape. Add a little adhesive to the back and push the tip of this piece up through the bottom of the decorative staple bar.

STEP 5:

Add a colorful sticker on the bottom section of the bag. When using vellum stickers, you may need to back them with a little bit of white cardstock and cut around the shape of the sticker if the background of the design you are placing them on shows through. This will also make the colors stay true instead of taking on some of the bag color.
