A Spotted Canary Project by brushnbecky

24 March 2009

Finger puppets are fun to easy to make! With a few scraps of paper, scissors, adhesive and a few paper punches (optional), you can create puppets to go with any theme and of any shape or size! The puppet included here is made by making a finger band that attaches to the back of the puppet and then slips over any finger on your child’s hand.

Instructions

STEP 1:

From black cardstock, punch out oval shape for butterfly body.

STEP 2:

Punch two heart shapes out of the orange patterned paper. Overlap these two hearts at pointed end and adhere.

STEP 3:

Glue body of butterfly on top of wings.

STEP 4:

Add antennae to back of butterfly.

STEP 5:

Cut finger band out of desired paper and form into a ring to fit your child’s finger. Attach to back of butterfly.
