Instructions
STEP 1:
Paint the birdhouse, using mint green for the roof and chimney, light blue for the walls, and light olive green for the roof edges and base. Let the paint dry, then sand and apply a second coat.
STEP 2:
Ink the edges of the birdhouse with brown ink.
STEP 3:
Using brown ink, stamp the roof with “What’s the Word” and the long-legged birds. Stamp the roof edges with “Party at the Nest.” Color the birds with blending chalks.
STEP 4:
Stamp an assortment of birds on pale green cardstock with brown ink. Color them with blending chalks, then cut them to shape.
STEP 5:
To attach a bird to a perch, roof, or side of the birdhouse, use the craft knife to cut a small slit in the wood. Tuck and glue the cardstock into the slit. To attach the other birds, use adhesive foam circles.
STEP 6:
Stamp “Party at the Nest” on white cardstock with teal ink. Cut it out and glue it to the bird trio.
STEP 7:
Glue the sparkle fibers to the birdhouse and birds as you would glitter.
STEP 8:
Tear the curling ribbon into very narrow strips then curl them. Glue them in place. Now your bird house centerpiece is complete.
