A Mother’s Day Layout

Instructions

STEP 1:

Build on dark burgundy background. Cut lighter burgundy cardstock to 12 x 11 inches. Adhere to background leaving .5 inch border at top and bottom.

STEP 2:

Round right corners off of an 8 x 10 inch photo to create an arch on right side. Adhere photo to cardstock approximately 2.5 inches from left side of page and .5 inch from bottom.

STEP 3:

Adhere ribbon borders to top and bottom of photo.

STEP 4:

Cut a 12 x 3 inch piece of circle patterned paper. Tear right edge and adhere to left side of page.

STEP 5:

Cover script chipboard letters with solid yellow paper. Sand to roughen edges. Adhere letters to top of page as shown.

STEP 6:

Apply rub ons to burgundy cardstock rectangle to spell “Day.” Mat rectangle with yellow and pink papers. Adhere cream ribbon to back, notch ends and adhere piece to top right of page as shown. Add dots to edges of burgundy rectangle with gold marker.

STEP 7:

Mat two smaller photos with burgundy, white and yellow papers. Adhere to far left side of page using adhesive foam circles on top photo.

STEP 8:

Create journaling box for lower right side. Double mat yellow paper with burgundy and white. Wrap ribbon at bottom. Use smaller scallop circle punches to create initial cap. Use rub on for first letter. Add dots around edges of flower with gold marker. Adhere flower to journaling box, and adhere box to page.

STEP 9:

Use scallop circle punches and varied papers to create flowers to decorate page. Place as shown. Tie ribbon knots to create centers for some flowers, and apply adhesive gems to some for the centers. Adhere flowers to page using adhesive foam circles on several of them.

STEP 10:

Punch medium pink and large burgundy flowers and adhere together. Use rub ons for letter A and decorate edges of flowers with gold metallic writer. Add ribbon sprigs to back and adhere piece to page with adhesive foam circles.
